Manureva Aquafest, the Cook Islands Kitesurfing Association’s annual watersports festival, is attended by visitors from as far away as Norway and Spain, as well as Australia, New Zealand and the Cook Islands, all drawn in by a 5-day event where competitors test their water skills in course racing, freestyle kitesurfing tricks, and big-air jumps.
Kite Surfing is one of the Cook Island’s most popular water sports, and the annual Kite Surfing competition allows locals and visitors alike to put their skills to the test. The 5 day even takes place on the spectacular Aitutaki lagoon where there are some great vantage points for supporters. World champions alike come from all over the world to show off their talents in the course races and free style challenges.
