Come on down to the Maire Nui Park next week and immerse yourself in a week of learning. Located across the road from the Banana Court, this central spot will be buzzing with interactive cultural and social activities to share with our locals and visitors alike. Demonstrations on sewing tivaevae, tie-dying pareus, and pearl shell jewellery carving are just some of the many activities planned.
These activities are free for all to enjoy and there will be entertainment from local singers and dance groups throughout the day. There will be food stalls selling fresh food and using environmentally friendly containers. This will be held from the 1st to the 5th of April, 10am to 2pm each day. So come on down to our main town of Avarua and take part in the activities on offer.
